Future of Codes Workshop

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Building Energy Codes Program hosted a stakeholder workshop June 22 & June 24, 2021 to highlight leading advancements in building energy codes and bring together energy efficiency stakeholders from across the building industry.  Thank you to those who participated; we greatly appreciate your time and feedback.

  1. An update on federal priorities related to building energy codes and standards
  2. New technical analysis available to support code implementation
  3. Recent changes to the process utilized by the International Code Council (ICC) to develop the International Energy Conservation Code (IECC)
  4. Innovative policies supporting code advancement and increased energy efficiency
  5. State and local goals and priorities related to building energy codes
